Why keep Davis open for all?
en Espaņol

Davis OPEN was founded on Martin Luther King Day in 2007 (Monday, January 15) by seven parents who were concerned about the preliminary recommendation of the Best Uses of Schools Advisory Task Force to close a neighborhood school in Davis.

Within a week, our core group more than doubled and now includes Pelayo Alvarez, Fred Buderi, Zhengyong Chen, Deatra Cohen, Colleen Connolly, Julie Cuetara, Rick Gonzales, Jennifer Higley-Chapman, Shawn Mayr, Russell Lim, Adam Siegel, Jocelyn Sharlet, Baki Tezcan, Xiaobing Wang, and Jingang Zhou.

Our coordinator is Julie Cuetara; our associate coordinator is Colleen Connolly. Julie and Colleen are leading our executive committee the other members of which are Fred Buderi, Zhengyong Chen, and Rick Gonzales.
